I am a final year student of MA Mass Communication at AJK MCRC. The course has taught me several technical skills, but I believe my strengths lie in creative conceptualization and writing. I hope to be able to combine my technical skills and my creative pursuits in the field I pursue. My areas of interest include films, news, content writing, editing and communications of any sort.

TV PRODUCTION, NEWS PACKAGING, EDITING

My name is Mimansa Shekhar and I’ll be completing my degree in M.A. Mass Comm from Jamia Millia Islamia Univ. in July 2009. I'm well versed in various editing softwares like FCP, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Nuendo, Photostory and Movie Maker, to name a few. I have complete hands on training in various film, video and still cameras. I can also professionally handle sound and lighting equipments. In addition to the mentioned softwares and equipments, I have complete knowledge about film printing and developing, radio broadcasting and transmission from a PCR. Through the course of my study I have researched, lined up shoots and monitored productions for various student products in Jamia. I have developed various writing and conceptualizing styles for any kind of media based production and can independently produce, direct and edit my product. I have keen interest in travelling and from time to time have been exploring different places in the country. I've been into public speaking since childhood and consider myself a cultured and mannered person. Photography has been my passion and I love capturing every moment through the lens. I aim to work with an organization that will offer me opportunities of growth and learning in a challenging and supportive work environment, where I can leverage my present skills while adding newer ones. I want to be get into TV production/editing and news packaging, and work for goal oriented results.

Film making and documentary making are the primary fields that interest me. Apart from this I also like editing, both sound and visual.

To pursue a career in the field of media(TV, Film and Newspaper) and prove my worth by creating value for the organization and thereby establishing myself as an asset to the organization through my abilities and skills.

I am Priya Thuvassery, final year M.A Mass Communication student. I am interested in Cinematography, Television & Documentary Production. I possess training and work experience in all technical aspects of audio-visual production including cinematography, sound and editing (Single camera shoots as well as multi-camera studio productions.) My experience from the two internships I had done in INDIA VISION, a prominent twenty four hour News Channel in Malayalam (One month) and Information & Public Relations Department, Government of Kerala (One month) had added my knowledge in working in an organisation atmosphere. My other media work exposure include- Free lancing for Janapatham monthly, Public Relations Department Kerala Government, Copy Writer (Part time- 4 months) Sravia Advertising Agency, Worked at the Media Centre -11th International Film Festival of Kerala 2007 for Kerala Chalachithra Academy & Onam Celebrations 2006 for the Kerala Tourism Department, Documentation work for Three day Conference - 6th Partners Forum Kerala (2005) - in association with KASACS and PSU. I had conducted a one week workshop on Traditional entertainment (Puppetry and Street theatre) for the students of Centre for Research and Education of Social Transformation (CREST), an Autonomous Institution under Government of Kerala. January 2009. My objective is to have a career in an institution where creativity is appreciated, to become a successful professional in the field of mass media and to work in an innovative and competitive world.

Apart from being behind the camera, I like editing both sound and visuals. Scripting for short stories is something that I enjoy. Documentaries, especially on wildlife and those revolving around real people in real situations are also my interest areas.

I am Violet Barman, M.A Mass Commuincation final year student.Basically interested in: 1. Documentary 2. Film 3. Set Designing 4. Painting 5. Editing 6. Photography I have possess diploma in fine arts for 7 year.Elected as the President of Fine Arts Society of Indraprastha College for Women(2005-2006) has given me a good exposure to the field of art and culture, set designing and recently got an oppurtinity to exhibite my painting and photographs in the Indian Habitate Centre.AJK MCRC has taught me various technical skills with the help of which i hope i can make my own stand in the field of media.

Being a final year student at AJK Mass Communication Research Centre; the course has given me a strong hold technically and helped me in conceptualising new ideas.I like to make my career in the field of news, film,editing and different kinds of productions.Photography, documentary of different genres,travel and lifestyle shows is also what interests me.
